Rotary Slips

Petrorio Drilling Tools manufactures a comprehensive range of Rotary Slips, essential handling tools used on both onshore and offshore rigs. These slips are critical for securely holding tubulars in the rotary table during drilling operations.

Our Rotary/Drill Pipe Slips are available in three models:

• Short (SDS) – Load Rating: 100 tons
• Medium (SDML) – Load Rating: 150 tons
• Large (SDXL) – Load Rating: 250 tons

Petrorio Rotary Slips are designed for use with standard API Insert Bowls / Slip Bowls and feature an API taper of 4 inches per foot on the diameter. The slips’ design ensures that the load is distributed evenly along their length, preventing localized damage to drill pipes and enhancing operational safety.
